
2011 starts off with great success!
Faerie Shelties is proud of our first OTCh Sheltie -- Deacon, OTCh Faerie's Master Craftsman PT UDX RAE2 GN GO OM1. Deacon finished his UD in July and within 11 trials finished his OTCh title. Deaconwon the Open and Utility classes multiple times, along with High in Trials and High in Combineds
Raven finished her Open Standard title with a first place!
Selkie x Jack kids are hitting the rings. Faerie's Wind Chill, finished his RN title at 18 months. Chill finished the title with a 1st place and score of 100. Across the country in Nevada, brother Faerie's Winter Storm Warning, Blizzard, made his NADAC debut with a Q in Hoopers and 2 Q's in Jumpers.

Herding
- Cloud took 1st in the Advanced Sheep class, 2nd in Advanced Ducks, and Reserve High in Trial Ducks and High in Combined!!! Not bad for a dog who ran at Agility Nationals 2 weeks ago!
- Flutter took 2nd in the Advanced Sheep class.
- Ice qualified in his PT run.

- Deacon Q'd in Open B with a 2nd place and Rally Advanced with a 1st place
Cloud earns his MACH!! He is now MACh HCh WTCh Faerie's Dream Catcher HXAsdc HSBs MX MXJ HTD-Is HRD-IIIs. Cloud will be going to Agility Nationals later this year. A big Thank You to Mike and Jan Padgett for training and trialing Cloud!
Tammy will be doing a Sheltie-Only herding clinic at the ASSA 2011 National, as well as the herding instinct testing.
Selkie will be bred to Jack when she comes into season. This is a repeat of last year's breeding; outstanding herding dogs are to be expected. Selkie is a littermate to MACH Kona and ASSA 2009 High in Trial Fiver.
On January 1st, 2011 -- Kona earns her MACH while her littermate Fiver finished her Ranch Large Flock II title with a 1st place. Both of these girls are out of HTCh HCh Flutter, sired by MACH2 Ch Rhymer VCX.
The 2010 year ended with a bang!
Clinic dates for 2011 are announced. There will be clinics held in Indiana and Michigan; other locations will be listed as they are confirmed.

Hawk follows in her sire Rhymer's footsteps and finished her MACH!! Hawk's daughter Bindi Sue finished her MACH2. Both girls are reported to be heading to the Nationals this year!
Cloud daughter, Raven, earns her NA and NAJ this weekend in Dayton, OH. Raven DQ'd both days, earning first places in all of her classes.
Faerie shelties has a new fetching young man, Stetson.
Bison headed to Ohio for an AHBA trial and finished his HRD-I title on sheep with a High in Trial!! Bison was entered just for experience, but wow, talk about an experience!! He took 1st with a High in Trial for the morning trial and 2nd place in the afternoon trial.
Fiver also went to an AHBA trial this weekend in Virginia. She spent the first day working as the stock dog for the trial and the second day she ran in a 50 head ranch large flock trial, earning her RFL-II leg with a 2nd place!
All of the Koral x Cloud puppies have been placed into their new homes.
At 10 years young, Flutter finished her HTCh in Ohio!! She took 2nd place in Ranch dog III and Herding Trial dog III with scores in the 90s. Flutter is the third Faerie sheltie to earn its AHBA Trial Championship.
Selkie kids Bison (sired by Cloud) and Kola (sired by Jack) tagged along to their frist trial with grandma Flutter to the AHBA trial. Bison picked up his first HRD-I and HTD-I legs with 1st places on both courses! Kola just turned 6 months old and was only old enough for the HCT course -- she blew everyone away.
August 15th was a great day -- Jan and Mike called to say that Rhymer finished his MACH2 and qualified for Nationals for the 3rd time at the age of 9. Mike handled Rhymer to his 1st MACH and Jan handled Rhymer to his 2nd MACH!!! You can see his 20th DQ here.
Cloud finished his MX this past weekend! What a good boy!
Puppies are born on June 12th!! There were 6 puppies (4 girls, 2 boys). Koral and the puppies are doing wonderfully.
Bilbo finished his MXJ!! Bilbo already has a couple DQ's towards his MACH, now the only question is who will get their MACH first -- father Cloud or his son??
Cloud and Selkie daughter, Viv, makes a splash in the ring. She won Best Puppy with a Puppy Herding Group 1 and 2, as well as taking Reserve twice. Like her sire, this lovely girl is also a herding dynamo.
Cloud finishes his MXJ with Mike Padgett handling! Cloud is on vacation in South Carolina with the Padgetts to finish his MACh.
Flutter and Cloud demonstrate the importance of good foundation training -- after the winter off and no work on stock, at the AHBA trial in Nova this April, Flutter took 2 High In Trials with a 97 and a 97.5 for 2 more points towards her HTCh (just one point to go!). Cloud earned two more points towards his HTCh with a 4th place and a Reserve HIT.
Rhymer and Kona attended the 2010 AKC National Agility Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Rhymer finished in the top 3rd of the 16" dogs. Not to be outdone by her sire, Kona won the Challengers round and finished 9th out of nearly 170 12" dogs!!!
Deacon finished his CDX with some impressive scores and a HIT. Not too long after, Deacon went on to win both the Rally Advanced B and Excellent B classes at the ASSA National!
Selkie and Jack produced a beautiful litter born in January. Kola will be staying here at Faerie Shelties while her siblings have gone on to competitive herding, agility, and obedience homes.
All of these fantastic events, brags, and titles have been part of the 2009 year.
Jack comes to live at Faerie Shelties! We hope he'll be our next CH-VCX!

Herding
Fiver is ranked #2 in Herding from a handful of Started trials. She also took HIT at the 2009 ASSA National
River is ranked #3 in Herding from a couple trips out in Advanced while earning his HTCH and WTCH
Clipz (Cloud son) is ranked #9, and his mom Luna is ranked #4
Obedience
Deacon is ranked the #3 Obedience Sheltie -- Deacon's ranking was due solely to his 60 day trialing period as a Novice dog. Way to go guys!
Deacon earns his CDX with scores in the upper 190s and a High In Trial! Way to go!!!!
Raven earns an NAJ leg at her very first trial! Woohoo!! Keep up the great work.
Shirley and Bindi earn their MACH!! Bindi is also qualified for the AKC Agility Nationals!
Phantom earns his CD in 2 weekends, including a 1st place win!
Flutter picks up 2 more HTCh points, earning a 92 and High In Trial in the process!
Kona qualifies for AKC Agility Nationals!!! She will accompany her sire, Rhymer, to Nationals in Oklahoma!
At the Samoyed Club of America's National AHBA trial, Flutter ran Advanced Ranch dog and earned a 95 and a 91, eaning another HIT and points towards her AHBA Championship.
Ali picked up her first HSAs leg with a score of 94, a first place, a High In Trial, and a High Scoring Sheltie award!
Taking a break from being a hard working stock dog, Cloud earned his his AX and AXJ!
Wish went to a CPE trial and Q'd 7 out of 9 times, earning all of her Level 1 titles! Great job Wish!!!!
River earns his AHBA Herding Trial Champion (HTCh). In this year, River has earned a WTCh and HTCh!!

Rhymer's daughters didn't start off the month too badly either -- Fiver earned her Herding Trial Dog 1 title with a 2nd and 4th place, and Kona had her first time out in Excellent B and earned 3 DQ's and 217 MACH points. You can see Kona's run here.
Puppies are born! Selkie had 1 girl and 3 boys on June 11th. All of the puppies are spoken for, but feel free to check them out and watch them grow up! :-)
Flutter x Rhymer puppies make a huge splash.
River earned his WTCH at the SEMASA herding trials! He placed 2nd both days on his Advanced Cattle runs. He is the 4th WTCH Sheltie in the country, and the 2nd WTCH produced by Flutter!
Fiver finished her HSAs title with a 5th and 2nd place out of 30+ started dogs (she ended up wtih an insurance leg too!). She also earned her HRD-I finishing 1st with an 84 out of 90.
Blaidden qualified for the United States Disc Dog Nationals! He will be participating in the Freestyle and Toss N Fetch rounds in Cartersville, GA this October! Blaidden is the FIRST Sheltie to ever qualify for for the USDD Nationals! Check out Blaidden in action.
Faerie puppies Presto and Bilbo tear it up in the agility rings. Presto finished his AXJ while Bilbo finished his Excellent Fast title and picked up 19 MACH points! Way to go boys!
ASSA National Specialty, 2009
-Fiver takes High In Trial on sheep!! This was her first trial and boy did she do it in style!
-Deacon Q'd in Novice B with a 1st place and a very impressive 198.
-Ali won a giant rosette for her blazing fast Open Standard run making her the Highest Open dog.
The Faerie shelties have had a busy 2009!! Rhymer went to the Agility Nationals with granddaughter Bindi Sue and daughter Indigo. Cloud son Clipz and Clipz's mom Luna were also in competition!
There is also a new additional: Koral came to stay at Faerie shelties.
River earned his AKC Started title on Cattle down in St. Louis.He finished his title with a 4th place, along with placements in Advanced sheep and ducks. River also completed his ASCA Open Cattle and Advanced Duck titles with placements; on Sunday he was awarded High Advanced Dog. As of the April Pacesetter, River is ranked as the #1 Herding Sheltie through November of 08.
Meanwhile, River's sister Hawk is busy with agility. Currently she has 3 MX legs and 63 MACH points.
Faerie brothers Deacon, Casey and Yeager show off their Obedience skills. Down in Texas, Deacon earns his Rally Advanced title and his CD with 6 High in Trials, then turned around and earned his PT title! Meanwhile, up north, Casey earned his first CD leg and two Rally Novice legs, while Yeager earns his RN! Way to go Rotten Black Boys!
Bilbo earned his OF title!!
Rocket earned his MX!! He's 1/4 of the way to his MACH!! Way to go!
Trinket daughters Wish and Ali begin their agility careers: Wish earned her NAJ and Ali earned her NA, NAJ.
Rhymer and Flutter daughter Kona earned her OA and OAJ! Not to be outdone by his speed-demon daughter, Rhymer picked up 2 Double Q's and is just a handful of DQ's away from his MACH!! Woohoo!
